Speech and Language Evaluation & Treatment

We don’t just treat the symptoms— we uncover the why behind a child’s speech or language delay. By identifying the root cause, we build therapy plans that target what’s actually driving the difficulty, leading to faster and more meaningful progress.

We assess and treat:

  • Receptive and Expressive language

  • Articulation and Sound Production

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech

  • Late Talkers and Speech Delays

  • Motor Speech Disorders

  • Phonological Disorders

  • Developmental Delays

Every child deserves to be heard and understood. We provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with speech and language differences— rather than just treating the symptom, we uncover the why behind them. By identifying the root cause, we build therapy plans that target what’s actually driving the difficulty, leading to faster more meaningful progress.

The Root-Cause Difference

Most speech therapy focuses on the sounds a child can’t make. We focus on why they can’t make them.

Speech is a motor skill, and when a child struggles, the cause is rarely random. Often, it traces back to something deeper— orofacial myofunctional disorders, tethered oral tissues (lip and tongue tie), oral motor weakness, mouth breathing, or structural and postural factors.

Families come to us after months or years of traditional therapy with limited progress. Within weeks of a root-cause approach, many children make more gains than they had in their entire therapy history— because we’ve finally identified the why.

If your child has been in speech therapy without the progress you hoped for, we’d love to take a closer look! Schedule a session!

Does this sound like your child?

  • People outside the family have trouble understanding them

  • They’re frustrated, melting down, aggressive, or shutting down when they can’t be understood

  • Not talking as much as other kids their age

  • Small vocabulary or aren’t combining words

  • Leave sounds off the beginning or ends of words (“ca” for “cat”)

  • Substitute sounds in a way that makes speech hard to follow

  • Difficulty imitating words or sounds

  • Speech sounds slushy, mumbled, or unclear

  • They were a late later and you’re wondering if they’ve caught up

  • They’ve been in speech therapy without the progress you hoped for

If any of these sound familiar, trust your instincts. Parents are usually the first to notice when something’s off— and the earlier we identify what’s going on, the faster we can help.

Therapeutic Interventions:

We use evidence-based, motor-focused approaches tailored to each child.

Our treatment approaches include:

  • Oral Motor Therapy

  • Oral Placement Therapy (OPT)

  • Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) see NMES tab for more info

  • Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC)

  • Play-based, child-led intervention

  • Early intervention for Late Talkers and Speech Delays

Speech and feeding share the same foundation—the oral motor system. Strong, coordinated muscles for chewing and swallowing are the same muscles that shape clear speech. That’s why treating feeding and speech together leads to faster, more lasting outcomes for the children we serve. We see faster and better outcomes when treated together.
